
City of Fond du Lac Police Department Media ReleaseMarch 6, 2023 City of Fond du Lac Police Investigates Shots Fired IncidentFond du Lac, WI: On Friday, March 3, 2023 at approximately 11:16 p.m. City of Fond du Lac Police Officers were dispatched to the area of W. Follett Street and Doty Street for a report of possible gunshots coming from the area. FDLPD Officers searched the area and were unable to locate any potential witnesses. There also was no reported injuries or property damage at the time.The following morning on March 4th at approximately 10:31 a.m. a FDLPD Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Doty Street for property damage to a detached garage and a vehicle consistent with being struck by bullets. FDLPD Officers and Detectives canvassed the area and located handgun casings in the 0 – 100 block of W. Follett Street along with additional evidence from the property damage in the 200 block of Doty Street. As of March 6, 2023, there remains no reported injuries from this incident.The FDLPD is seeking further assistance from the community.
