City of Fond du Lac Police Search Warrant and Active Overdose
Fond du Lac, WI: On Friday, March 24, 2023 at approximately 2:00p.m., City of Fond du Lac Police Department Detectives were continuing their investigation into a burglary which occurred on March 16, 2023 in the southeast area of the City. FDLPD Detectives and Officers executed a search warrant in the 200 block of East Rees Street in relation to the burglary. As the search warrant was being executed, there was an unrelated medical incident nearby in the 200 block of Ledgeview Avenue that also required FDLPD Officers and Fire/Rescue bringing additional public safety resources into the same area.
When FDLPD Detectives entered the apartment, they located a 38-year-old male Allenton (WI) resident who was immediately taken into custody. FDLPD Detectives also located a 54-year-old male Allenton (WI) resident who was actively overdosing on suspected fentanyl. FDLPD Detectives immediately requested paramedics and began providing lifesaving efforts until Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue arrived.
The 38-year-male was arrested on a drug charge and is currently being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail. The 54-year-old male was treated at St. Agnes Hospital (SSM Health) and was also arrested on drug charges and held at the Fond du Lac County Jail. The investigation into the burglary remains active. No further details or information are being released at this time.
